Aether Shard — Player Wiki
The sky broke, the vale shattered, and one traveler woke at a dying altar. Aether Shard is a solo-hero, turn-based RPG about restoring a broken world: choose a class, fight what the rift left behind, gather what the land still gives, and rebuild the towns piece by piece until the bells ring again.
Getting started
- Pick a class at the church. Your class sets your stats, your skills, and how far you can see through the fog (Aether Sight). 61 classes are documented on the Classes page.
- Battles are turn-based. You carry up to 4 active skills at a time; swap your loadout outside combat. Exploit weaknesses.
- Gear wears down. Weapons and armor lose durability with use — the blacksmith repairs them, and letting a tool break mid-dungeon hurts.
- Save at churches. Praying at an altar saves and heals.
- Rebuild. Gather materials, clear rubble, and fund reconstruction — towns visibly change, new services open, and people come home.
- Learn by Glimmer. Watching enemies use their tricks can spark new abilities of your own — fight varied foes.
🔍 There is more than this wiki tells. The world
keeps its secrets: a hidden class line for every base calling,
32 foes beyond the ones catalogued here, hidden places
(2 at least), worn runes, false walls, and words of power
with deeper circles. This wiki will not spoil how — explore, listen to NPCs,
and read what the world writes on its stones.
The core loop
Wake at an altar → explore under the fog of your Aether Sight → fight, gather, and glimmer → return to town to repair, restock, and rebuild → push further. Churches heal and save; blacksmiths repair; the rebuild board lists what each town needs next.
Generated from the game's own data files — numbers here match the current build. Spoiler policy: hidden places, secret classes and puzzle solutions are deliberately left out.
